JAY — Kayla Meserve didn’t wait long in overtime before scoring her third goal of the day to lift Spruce Mountain to a 3-2 win over Hall-Dale, completing for the Phoenix an unbeaten regular season.
Mesrve’s winner came a minute and a half into overtime.
Nicole Hamblin and Morgan Fournier connected with Meserve on two of her three goals as the Phoenix finished the season at 13-0-1.
Molly French had an outstanding day in net, making 28 saves and keeping Hall-Dale in the contest. Shanay Gilbert and Nicole Pelletier netted the two goals for the Bulldogs (6-7-1).
Telstar 2, Boothbay 0
BETHEL — Octavia Morin and Sadie Ellsworth tallied a goal each in a one-sided matchup as Telstar topped Boothbay 2-0 in MVC field hockey action.
Anne Cushman added an assist on the day for the Rebels. Telstar outshot Boothbay 23-0, finishing the regular season at 6-8. Goaltender Elizabeth Wright made 14 saves in net for the Seahawks (0-14).
Lisbon 4, Oak Hill 1
LISBON — Hannah Jordan registered two goals for the Greyhounds, as they ran past Oak Hill 4-1 in MVC field hockey action Monday.
Arianna Kahler and Sarah Craig recorded a goal each, while Stevie Charest stopped six out of seven shots for Lisbon (11-2-1). Sadie Goulet tallied the lone goal for the Raiders (7-5-1), while Abby Fuller turned back five shots.
Dirigo 4, St. Dom’s 1
DIXFIELD — Brooke Holmquist and Brittany LaPointe rattled in a pair of goals each as Dirigo rolled past St. Dom’s 4-1 in MVC field hockey action Monday.
Holmquist, Britney Ellis and Riley L’Italien all tallied an assist on the day for the Cougars (7-6-1). Callie Greco scored the lone goal for the Saints (3-11), while Taylor Bergeron made 19 saves in net.
Boys’ Soccer
Telstar 3, Mtn. Valley 1
RUMFORD — Telstar made use of three different scorers to get past Mountain Valley 3-1 in boys’ MVC soccer action Monday.
Maverick Griffin, Bronson Dean and Nick Conrad all registered for the Rebels (3-9). Tucker Rowland found the back of the net for the Falcons (2-10), while keeper Dakota Jake stopped nine shots.
Girls’ Soccer
Dirigo 4, Mtn. Valley 1
DIXFIELD — Dirigo utilized four different scorers to earn the victory, as they topped Mtn. Valley 4-1 in MVC girls’ soccer action.
Summer Keim, Sabrina Daoud, Brittany Greig and Kaitlyn Morang all notched goals on the day for the Cougars (4-7). Karen Falherty made seven saves in net for the Falcons (3-9).
Madison 2, Lisbon 1
LISBON FALLS — With the score 1-0 in favor of Lisbon at the half, Kirsten Wood answered with two second half goals to give Madison the edge, as they snuck past Lisbon 2-1 in MVC girls’ soccer.
Kayla Bess added in an assist on the day, while netminder Savanna Kandiko stopped seven shots in net for the Bulldogs (10-1-1). Kailyn Hill tallied the sole goal for the Greyhounds (5-7), while Alexandra Sult made five saves in net.
St. Dom’s 6, Winthrop 0
WINTHROP — Faith Grady netted three goals for the hat trick as St. Dom’s cruised past Winthrop 6-0 in MVC soccer action Monday.
Emma Byrne found the back of the net twice for Saints (10-1-1), while Kelly Pomerleau came out of the net during the game to score one as well. Hayley Choate made 15 saves in goal for the Ramblers (0-12-1).
