NORWAY — The Western Foothills Land Trust will host several outdoor recreation events beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15, at the Roberts Farm Preserve, 64 Roberts Road.

On Tuesday there will be a timed 5k run at 5:30 p.m. The run is free.

On Saturday, Oct. 26, the second annual fall canine-cross 5k will be run at 9 a.m. This event is for fit dogs and their owners. Non-running dogs and owners are welcome to attend to enjoy a walk on the trails. A $5 contribution is requested and will be shared with Responsible Pet Care.

On Sunday, Oct. 27, there will be a dry-land biathlon. Competitors run a 1k or 2k loop, attempt to shoot five air-rifle targets while reclined, run the 1k or 2k course again, shoot a second set of five targets and finish with a final 1k or 2k run. Targets, air rifles and safety glasses will be provided.

Competitors under 10 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian at the target station.
