AUGUSTA (AP) — Gov. Paul LePage’s judicial selection committee is accepting applications for an open judge position.

The governor said a district judge position needs to be filled because of the retirement of Judge John David Kennedy. The person selected will likely be assigned to the West Bath District Court.

Applications are being accepted until Nov. 15.

LePage said additional vacancies may show up in the near future on the Superior Court and Maine Supreme Judicial Court.
