AUBURN — The Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County will host an Autumn Harvest Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the historic Horatio and Ella Foss house, 19 Elm St.
Items for sale will include aprons, table runners, pillows and wall coverings. The fair will also have tables of raffles, jewelry, gently used books and baked goods that will include apple squares, candied apples and pumpkin treats.
The breakfast menu in the Autumn Harvest cafe will be served in the Foss dining room from 9 to 11 a.m. and will feature cinnamon rolls and apple coffeecakes.
Lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. will feature a choice of winter squash, chili or chicken with rice soups; Waldorf salad; fresh yeast rolls; and fresh pie for dessert.
The public is invited and members are encouraged to bring guests.
Admission is free but donations are accepted.
This month diapers and baby wipes are being gathered for Head Start.
Organized in 1892, the Woman’s Literary Union is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to further the intellectual, cultural and educational advancement of its members and the community, and preserve the nationally registered Horatio Foss Mansion.
