I am writing in reference to the article “Challenger calls Lewiston mayor divisive” (Oct. 18) and the comments that were made about Argo Marketing Group by Lewiston mayoral candidate Larry Gilbert.

As a resident of Lewiston and an employee of Argo Marketing, I was completely shocked to hear the inaccurate information and Gilbert’s complete lack of knowledge about who we are as company: The Argo Family.

Four years ago I started at Argo Marketing Group as a customer service agent and now, with some hard work and amazing support from the administrative team and CEO, I now sit as an account executive, managing a large number of million-dollar, E-commerce campaigns.

When I came to Argo with just a high school diploma, I thought the phones was where I would plateau. During a call center meeting, I was told by the CEO, Jason Levesque, that my potential at Argo was endless and with hard work and dedication this would not just be a job, but my career. That is exactly what I did.

Anyone stopping by for a visit to Argo, at any given time, would find that our account executives, managers and supervisors all started on the phones at call centers and decided to grow with us and make Argo their home.

Customer service specialists come to Argo with a variety of experience, ranging from no experience to many years in the customer service industry. Starting pay for agents is anywhere from $10 to $13 per hour, based on experience; and they are eligible for bonuses based on performance starting the first day they come out of training, which can bring their starting pay to $11 to $15 per hour.

With our rapid growth, there are always opportunities for upward mobility in a variety of facets from quality assurance analysts, supervisors, human resources staff, IT team, email support, and so much more. We stand by our motto: “Your success is our greatest accomplishment.”

Argo offers health and dental insurance to all employees after a short probationary period of 60-90 days from date of hire. We offer sign-on and referral bonuses to employees up to $500, as well as weekly and monthly contests with prizes ranging from $50 gift cards to iPads.

Argo will be bringing 250 good-paying, quality jobs to the downtown Lewiston area, and will provide opportunities for a successful, long-term career for each and everyone who is hired and welcomed into the family.
