Happy Hello-Ween in New Auburn
AUBURN — New Auburn’s downtown businesses will hold the third annual Happy Hello-Ween event from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26.
Parents may bring children to trick-or-treat safely at participating businesses. Pick up maps at Rolly’s Diner, 87 Mill St. Prizes will be given for best costume for children and adults.
Visit the Boys and Girls Club’s haunted house and spooky cemetery. The free event will be held rain or shine.
The event is sponsored by the United New Auburn Association, local business and Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine Auburn/Lewiston Clubhouse. For more information, call Kathy Shaw at 320-1969.
Bean supper at Gray church
GRAY — A bean supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at First Congregational Church, Route 115.
Menu includes casseroles, salads, homemade breads and desserts. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. The building is handicapped-accessible.

Church women to host supper
LISBON FALLS — The Methodist Women will hold a home-baked bean and ham supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Lisbon United Methodist Church, 14 School St.
Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for 5 and under.
Cemetery association to meet
AUBURN — The annual meeting of the North Auburn Cemetery Association will take place at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at the home of Donald and Terry Lebel, 625 North Auburn Road. All those interested are invited to attend.
Bates holding school fair
LEWISTON — Bates College will host its annual Graduate and Professional School Fair from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the Clifton Daggett Gray Athletic Building, 130 Central Ave.

Bullying prevention program Nov. 6
LEWISTON — Stop Bullying will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 6, at Royal Oak Room/Iron Horse Court, 1 Bates St.
Stan Davis and local school leaders will discuss how to build a safe, consistent and connected culture for children. This is an important event for all parents, caregivers and professionals who work with children.

Bullying affects both the person being bullied and the person behaving as a bully. Research shows that targets of bullying are more likely to grow up depressed and anxious. Bullies are much more likely than non-bullies to become adult criminals.
Christmas wreath workshop set
LISBON — Make your own Christmas wreath at Beaver Park Lone Pine Lodge on Saturdays, Nov. 23 and 30, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m., and Sundays, Nov. 24 and Dec. 1, from 1 to 4 p.m.

Space is limited and registration is required. There will be a $12 charge per wreath made at the workshop. Payment is due at time of registration. Make checks payable to the Town of Lisbon.
Groups are invited to schedule special evening classes. All funds from the classes and sale of wreaths support projects at Beaver Park.
Legion Auxiliary plans craft fair
AUBURN — American Legion Post 31 Ladies Auxiliary will hold a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at the post, 426 Washington St. North.
Tables without electricity can be rented for $20. Tables with electricity are $25. All tables must be reserved two weeks prior to the event.
