- Retired schoolteachers Gerry Ricker, left, of Lewiston and Glenys Ryder of Danville share stories during the Teddy Bear Fair at Lewiston High School on Saturday. The annual event of the Mu Chapter, Delta Kappa Gamma, raises scholarship money for high school graduates who want to pursue careers in teaching, event Co-chairwoman Susan Cornelius of Sabattus. Booths staffed by a mix of retired and current teachers offer crafts, books, baked goods and teddy bears for sale. Ricker, 83, retired after teaching at McMahon Elementary for 38 years. Ryder, 76, retired from Fairview Elementary after a 36-year career. Adriann Tucker of Turner co-chaired the event with Cornelius.
