FARMINGTON — A Farmington woman was injured in a rear-end collision early Monday on Perham Street.
Melissa Cushman, 35, was traveling east on Perham Street when she attempted to make a left turn near Green Acres Apartments at about 7:30 a.m., Farmington police Officer Ryan Wagner said.
Travis Gourley, 21, of Chesterville was also traveling east when he was blinded by the sun, Wagner said. Gourley tried to stop but rear-ended Cushman’s 2000 Chevrolet Malibu. He was not speeding, Wagner said.
Cushman complained of neck pain and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital by NorthStar ambulance, Wagner said.
Gourley, driving a 1994 Honda Accord, was not injured.
Both vehicles were damaged and towed from the scene.
