AVON — A local woman is accused of cutting her boyfriend with a knife early Friday during a dispute over finances, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said.

Jessica Savage, 31, of Avon was arrested on a felony charge of aggravated domestic violence assault and a charge of violation of probation.

Savage and her boyfriend were arguing over finances when pushing and shoving began, he said. She grabbed a kitchen knife and gave her boyfriend superficial cuts on the neck and stomach, he said.

The blood had already dried when Detective Stephen Charles and Deputy Matthew Brann arrived.

Alcohol was involved, he said.

One of her probation conditions on an unrelated matter is to not possess or use alcohol, he said.
