AUGUSTA (AP) — Police have arrested a Dresden man they say robbed the same Augusta pharmacy twice in three days.
Ryan McLaughlin was arrested initially by FBI agents on Thursday on unrelated warrants, but later was hit with federal robbery charges in connection with robberies on Monday and Wednesday at the Osco pharmacy inside the Shaw’s supermarket on Western Avenue.
Deputy Chief Jared Mills said the 26-year-old McLaughlin is being held at the Cumberland County Jail in Portland and it’s not clear if he has a lawyer.
The descriptions of the suspects in both robberies were identical. In both cases, police said he passed a note to employees, got drugs and fled on foot. Both robberies occurred at the exact same time.
No one was hurt in either case.
