- Dirigo Elementary School kindergartners Henry Waleik of Rumford, Madison Goodwin and Sophia Poulin, both of Dixfield, and Emily Putnam of Peru wear the Pilgrim and Native American headgear they made for Tuesday afternoon’s annual Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Feast. Fifty-four kindergartners, some wearing robes and tunics, dined on pretzels, popcorn, toast, jellybeans and apple juice. “Usually, they all want to be Indians, but it’s pilgrims this year,” one teacher said.
