FARMINGTON — Giving thanks where it counts, Franklin Savings Bank employees raised $649.25 to sponsor a service member family for the holidays.
The money came through Fund-Raising Fridays, in which employees pay $2 for the privilege of wearing jeans to work.
Employees worked with the Farmington Elks Club, the Farmington Hannaford and the Camp Keyes Survivor Outreach Services to accomplish their goal.
The funds paid for 20 Thanksgiving baskets, including $10 gift cards for turkeys and homemade pies baked by bank employees.
With Tim Callahan from the Elks Club, the employees purchased, packed and delivered the baskets to families of deployed service members, families of fallen service members and veterans.
- Franklin Savings Bank Chief Financial Officer Tim Thompson and Compliance Officer Dee LaPlant put finishing touches on Thanksgiving baskets in Farmington.
- Franklin Savings Bank Loan Systems Administrator Katrina Pease and Senior Loan Processor Lisa Walker prepare to deliver Thanksgiving baskets in Farmington.
