Edward little High School stands “as good a chance as any” to become Maine’s entry in the National Schools of Excellence program, according to ELHS Principal Lawrence LaBrie, who says winning the statewide competition would be “a tribute” to the school’s staff. Edward Little and Freeport High School are vying for the privilege of representing Maine in the national competition, which is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education.
