BETHEL — The Mahoosuc Community Band will perform its annual holiday concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, at the West Parish Congregational Church.
The music includes “The Ludlows” from the movie “Legends of the Fall” by James Horner featuring Liz Smith on the piano and “Music of the Beatles” arranged by Michael Sweeney. Both songs were purchased with the Buy-A-Song program. Traditional favorites such as “Go Tell It on the Mountain” arranged by Jay Sawson, “March of the Toys” arranged by Otto Langey and Herbert Clarke, “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey and arranged by Larry Kerchner and other favorites will be performed.
Refreshments following the concert will allow time to visit with the musicians. Donations will help with music and instrument purchases and ongoing costs to run the volunteer community band.
