FARMINGTON — Mooseville owner Corey Ellis will once again offer free mini pancakes and hot cocoa during Chester Greenwood Day festivities on Saturday.
For the third year, the store at 156 Main St. will serve pancakes from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the annual celebration of earmuff inventor Chester Greenwood.
On the eve of the annual festival, a holiday concert will be hosted by the Arts Institute of Western Maine at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Emery Community Arts Center on the campus of the University of Maine at Farmington.
The concert, Winter Funderland, will feature the folk/jazz trio of Burke, Surette and Allyn (voice/guitar/piano). Admission is $5 for adults; free for anyone under 18.
Also on Saturday, the Farmington Rotary Club will host its annual Festival of Trees at the North Church for the first time. An auction of the trees will begin at 6:30 p.m.
And the Farmington Recreation Department will present the first Farmington Christmas Show at 6 p.m. at the Community Center. Local children ages 2 and older are to present a fast-paced, one-hour show of baton twirling, dancing, ballet and streamers. Donations for the homeless shelter in Farmington will be accepted at the door.
