Senior guard Ben Howell collected three 3-pointers in the fourth for a total of 15 points to lead the Blue Devils (1-1). Carlos Gonzalez contributed 14 points for Lewiston.
Liam Stokes netted a game-high 19 points for the Rams (0-2).
Brunswick 45, Edward Little 43
AUBURN — Derek Devereaux registered a game high 13 points, while Blake Gordon added in 11, as Brunswick escaped with a 45-43 victory over Edward Little Tuesday night.
Elliot Boyd helped Devereaux’s efforts with 10 points. Salad Sheikh scored a team high 10 points for the Red Eddies (1-1).
Oak Hill 66, Mt. Abram 42
WALES — Parker Asselin netted a game high 20 points as Oak Hill cruised to a 66-42 victory over Mt. Abram in a boys’ MVC basketball matchup Tuesday.
Drew Gamage grabbed a team-high six boards on the night, while Jonah Martin tallied nine points for the Raiders (1-1). Amos Withee registered a team-high 11 for the Roadrunners (0-2).
Madison 66, Telstar 37
MADISON — Derek LeBlanc dropped a game high 27 points, including three 3-pointers, and Madison ran to a 66-37 victory over Telstar in a boys’ MVC basketball game Tuesday.
Chris Hayden and Ty Cowan rattled in nine points each for the Bulldogs (1-1). Maverick Griffin led the Rebels (0-2) with 10 points, while Nik Conrad added nine.
Fryeburg 61, Gray-NG 54
GRAY — Alex Lazic and Ryan Gullikson led Fryeburg with 11 points apiece as the Raiders edged Gray-New Gloucester, 61-54, in a WMC boys’ basketball matchup Tuesday.
Jonathan Burk and Jaiquan Causer supplied the Raiders (2-0) with 10 points a piece in the vivctory. Andreas Kariotis led the Patriots (0-2) with 16 points.
Mt. Blue 47, Skowhegan 43
FARMINGTON — Freshman Zack Mittlestadt fired in 17 points as Mt. Blue snuck past Skowhegan, 47-43, in KVAC boys’ basketball Tuesday.
Nate Backus added 10 points while Cam Abbott and Drew Parsons scored nine and eight, respectively, for the Cougars (1-0). Kindle Bonsall pulled down 12 boards.
Eli Holland’s 16 points and Isaac Witham’s 12 led Skowhegan (0-2).
Monmouth 68, St. Dom’s 53
AUBURN — Marcques Houston erupted for a career-high 29 points Tuesday night in Monmouth’s 68-53 MVC boys’ basketball win over St. Dom’s.
Monmouth used a 22-10 advantage in the second quarter to turn an early 17-16 deficit into a 38-27 cushion.
Brett Wilson added 15 points and Hunter Richardson 10 for the Mustangs (2-0). Matt Dyer dropped in 21 to lead the Saints (0-2). Madison Jalbert contributed 10.
Spruce Mountain 86, Mtn. Valley 21
RUMFORD — Tyler Kachnovich chalked up 22 points, including five of Spruce Mountain’s 10 3-pointers Tuesday night, in an overwhelming 86-21 MVC boys’ basketball win over Mountain Valley.
Scottie Hall added 16 points, Anthony York picked up 12 and John McKenna drained three treys for the Phoenix (2-0).
Spruce Mountain exploded to a 24-2 lead after one quarter and made it 52-8 at the half. Caleb Gauvin paced the Falcons (1-1) with 10 points.
Hyde 62, Rangeley 16
BATH — Warsame Mohamed and Akim Sanni netted 10 points each as Hyde cruised to a 62-16 triumph over Rangeley in boys’ basketball action Tuesday.
The Phoenix (1-0) made solid use of turnovers to dominate all four quarters. Hyde led 29-6 at halftime.
Sophomore guard Tim White led the Lakers (0-2) with three field goals for a team-high six points in the losing effort.
Mt. Ararat 56, Oxford Hills 49
TOPSHAM — Shyheim Ulrickson nested 20 points for the Eagles as Mt. Ararat slipped past Oxford Hills 56-49 in KVAC boys’ basketball action Tuesday.
The contest was tied 22-22 at the midpoint. The Eagles (2-0) hit a couple of 3-point field goals in the third quarter and made 12-of-14 from the line to take the seven-point win.
Andrew Fleming had a team-high 17 points for the Vikings (0-2).

Skowhegan 57, Mt. Blue 44
SKOWHEGAN — Morgan Buker scored a game-high 21 points Tuesday to lift Skowhegan over Mt. Blue 57-44 in a girls’ varsity basketball game.
Taylor Johnson tallied 14 points while hitting two 3-pointers for the Indians (1-1). Miranda Nicely netted nine points for the Cougars (0-1), while Addie Brinkman scored seven.
Poland 50, Kennebunk 31
POLAND — Michaella Arsenault dropped a game high 21 points as Poland rolled to a 50-31 victory over Kennebunk in a WMC girls’ basketball matchup.
Emily Bolduc scored 12 points, while Lindsay Theriault added eight for the Knights (2-0). Gabby Fogg scored a team high eight points for the Rams (0-2)
Boothbay 51, Lisbon 41
LISBON FALLS — Morgan Crocker drained a game high 21 points as Boothbay grabbed its first win of the season, 51-41, over Lisbon in MVC girls’ basketball.
Sara Durgin tallied 12 points on the night for the Seahawks, who hit nine free throws in the fourth quarter to secure the win. Adrianna White scored a team high 15 points for the Greyhounds (0-2), while Katelyn Fowler grabbed 13 rebounds to go with 13 points.
Rangeley 53, Hyde 30
BATH — Tori Letarte sunk six baskets along with making four shots from the line to lead Rangeley to victory over Hyde 53-30 in girls’ basketball action Tuesday.
Letarte played efficient defense all night, grabbing four steals to go along with for her 16 points for the Lakers (2-0). Seve Deery-Deraps found the basket for 11 points, while Tasha Haley grabbed six boards on two points, and Taylor Esty had eight points and five boards.
Diamond Brown tallied 18 points and Emma Leonard added eight for the Hyde Phoenix (0-1).
Oak Hill 79, Mt. Abram 23
WALES — Grace Sabine rattled in 18 points to lead Oak Hill past Mt. Abram, 79-23, in an MVC girls’ basketball contest Tuesday.
Hayley Marshall added in five field goals for 10 points, while Meagan Crosby tallied eight for the Raiders (1-1). Alexandra Harnden tallied 11 points on the night for the Roadrunners (0-2).
Cony 67, Lewiston 52
LEWISTON — Lewiston lurked within a bucket at half, but 10 Cony 3-pointers turned the tide in a 67-52 Eastern Class A girls’ basketball victory Tuesday night.
Emily Quirion poured in 33 points for the Rams (1-0), who put it away with a 25-15 gain in the fourth. Haley Quirion added 16 and Alyssah Dennett 11. The Quirions combined for seven shots from beyond the arc.
Brie Wilson topped the Blue Devils (0-2) with 13 points. Jenessa Talarico added 11 and Laurianne Murphy chipped in nine.
Richmond 50, Buckfield 34
RICHMOND — Sophomore forward Kelsea Anair drained a game-high 16 points to lift Richmond to a 50-34 victory over Buckfield in EWC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.
The Bobcats (1-1) dominated in the fourth quarter, outscoring their opponents 21-9 in the frame. Meranda Martin pitched in with eight points, six steals and seven assists for Richmond.
Gabby Therriault paced the Bucks (0-2) with 12 points.
St. Dom’s 50, Monmouth 32
MONMOUTH — Kelly Pomerleau tossed a game-high 16 points to lead St. Dom’s to a 50-32 victory over Monmouth in MVC girls’ basketball Tuesday.
The Saints (2-0) came out strong in the third quarter as Chloe Dwinell hit two three-pointers to begin the frame. Pomerleau had nine points and Alexis Dwinell chipped in with four points.
Kylie Kemp led the Mustangs (1-1) with 12 points.
Gray-NG 47, Fryeburg 42
FRYEBURG — Junior forward Maria Valente sank 19 points to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 47-42 come-from-behind victory over Freyburg in WMC girls’ basketball action Tuesday.
The Patriots (2-0) were trailing 32-18 in the third quarter before they turned their fortunes around. Alicia Dumont scored seven of her nine points in the final frame.
Sophomore guard Julia Quinn provided offensive prowess for the Raiders (0-2), netting six field goals, including three from 3-point range, and a free throw for 16 points in the losing effort.
