LEWISTON — Gerald R. Martin, 87, a resident of Lisbon, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, at Russell Park Manor in Lewiston.
He was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Winthrop, the son of Raymond and Arlene (Rose) Martin. Gerald attended school in Fayette. On Nov. 17, 1951, in Livermore Falls, he married Arlene McGraw. He and Arlene moved to Lisbon in 1955, when he went to work at Worumbo Mill in Lisbon Falls. He also had worked at Knapp Shoes in Lewiston. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Parish in Lisbon Falls.
He is survived by his wife, Arlene Martin, of Lisbon; three daughters and their husbands, Ann and Robert Spickenreuther of Lisbon Falls, Linda and Richard Chaisson and Carol and Robert Paradis of Lisbon; a brother, Charlie Martin and his wife, Judy, of Jay; two sisters, Gloria Pepin and companion, Ed Bent, of Wilton and Glennis Conant and her husband, Bernie, of Turner; four grandchildren, Richard and Steven Chaisson and Renee and Robert Paradis; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Gerald Martin; and sisters, Eleanor Hutchinson and Irene Kennedy.
