INDUSTRY — A Livermore Falls man was injured Saturday afternoon when his truck went off Route 43 and struck a utility pole and four trees, Franklin County Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said.
Harold Mason, 38, who was driving east at about 3:16 p.m., told Deputy Walter Fails that he had been looking at a power line on the right and didn’t see a car in front of him slowing down to make a left turn into 1662 Industry Road/Route 43, Nichols said.
Mason avoided the vehicle in front of him, but skidded and went off the road on the right and hit a pole and the trees, he said.
Industry firefighters and a NorthStar EMS ambulance also responded to the scene.
The 2001 Dodge pickup truck was heavily damaged.
