CARRABASSETT VALLEY — This year’s Sugarloaf Charity Summit kicks off with the Snowshoe Shuffle at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center.
All proceeds from Charity Summit events benefit the Maine Cancer Foundation and the Martha B. Webber Breast Care Center.
According to organizers, if you can walk, you can snowshoe. The shuffle route is a gentle 1.5-mile route over beautiful trails at the center.
Individuals or teams of coworkers, family or friends are welcome to participate. Registration is $25 per person. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Children under the age of 12 are free.
The Sugarloaf Charity Summit, which includes the Sugarloaf Charity Ball in January, raised more than $186,000 last year.
