FRYEBURG — A local man was taken to the hospital after his sport utility vehicle rolled over Tuesday.
According to Sgt. Joshua Potvin of the Fryeburg Police Department, Ian Shaw, 27, was traveling southeast on Fish Street at approximately 3:40 p.m. when he lost control of his 2006 Ford Escape while making a turn.
Potvin said the vehicle went into a spin before rolling onto its roof near the driveway of 154 Fish St.
Shaw was taken to Bridgton Hospital with non-life-threatening back, neck and hand injuries.
“The vehicle came within inches of striking a utility pole prior to rolling over,” Potvin said. “Driving too fast for the road conditions is the primary contributing factor in this crash.”
Potvin urges anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact him at 935-3323.
