LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter is kicking off the new year with a mini Job Fair and programs for job seekers and those considering training to upgrade their skills and increase their employability.
The mini Job Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 6, at the CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way. Participating employers include Carbonite, Estes Express Lines, Formed Fiber Technologies, MAS Home Care of Maine, Notify MD, Opportunities Enterprises, O’Reilly Auto Parts and Support Solutions. Positions include material handlers, clerical positions, truck drivers, production helpers, technical support representatives, health professionals and customer services representatives.
All businesses looking to hire and people looking for work should register with the Maine Job Bank. This month the Job Bank has approximately 23,000 registered job seekers and about 6,000 job openings. There is no cost to create a profile if you are a job seeker or to list a job if you are an employer.
