LIVERMORE FALLS – The second annual Spruce Mountain Sled-In will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Livermore Falls Recreation Field on Foundry Road, behind the Town Office.

People can ride their snowmobiles directly to the event via the Whistle-Stop Trail that runs from West Farmington to Jay/Livermore Falls area.

Activities will include sliding, snowshoeing and ice skating, according to the organizer and sponsor, the Livermore Falls Downtown Betterment Group. People will need to bring their owns sleds, snowshoes and ice skates.

There will also be hot food and drinks, business vendor booths, a raffle and a bonfire.

Events include sliding on three hills with a tow back up, sleigh rides around the field in a new sleigh, antique snowmobile radar runs and an antique sled display. There will also be a hay bale maze for younger children.

A snow sculpture, snowman contest will be held with a cash prize.

Admission to the sled-in is free. There is no charge for vendors, according to the release.

Food and hot drinks will be available to support local charities and nonprofits.

Proceeds of the raffle, with prizes from local businesses, will go to Andy Valley Riders of Jay, Jug Hill Riders of Livermore Falls and Livermore Trailblazers of Livermore Falls.
