Food pantry in East Otisfield

OTISFIELD — The Food Pantry will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, at East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, Rayville Road. The pantry is open on the fourth Friday of every month. For more information, call 539-4619.

Application aid for food program

BRIDGTON — Preble Street Maine Hunger Initiative will hold free pre-screening and application assistance for the Food Supplement Program (formerly Food Stamps) from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28, at Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.

Participants need to bring copies of ID, last four pays stubs, latest tax return (documents are beneficial, but not necessary) and need to know household income, military status and medical expenses. This is completely confidential.

Bethel Senior Citizens Club

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Bethel Alliance Church, across from Telstar.

OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Jan. 17 for a five-table Howell movement.

Finishing first in flight A were Rosemarie Goodwin (Lewiston) and Luke Merry (Gray), second were Cathy Sanderson (Waterford) and Les Buzzell (Auburn), third were Mike St. John (Westbrook) and Mike True (Auburn), fourth were Neenie Kivus (Lewiston) and Dick Allen (New Gloucester).

Finishing first in flight B were Milt McKeen Jr. (Bridgton) and Jim Krainin (Naples), second were Barbara Vanderzanden (Lovell) and Carol Curran (Waterford), third were Cindy and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris), fourth were Joanne Skinner (Portland) and Paul Kahl (Westbrook).
