RUMFORD — The Rumford Police Department responded to 74 calls in the past week. Among them were:

Arrest

* Jason Kehrer, 36, Rumford, theft, 9:10 p.m. Jan. 24. He was released on $1,000 unsecured bail and is to be arraigned at 8:30 a.m. on March 4 in 11th District Court.

Reports

* At 3:53 p.m. on Jan. 25, Rumford police received a report of a burglary or theft on Waldo Street. A resident returned home to find his door kicked in and money stolen from the residence. Patrolman Brad Gallant investigated and charged Tausha Plante, 37, of Rumford, with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Plante is scheduled to appear on April 18 in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris.

* At 7:42 a.m. on Jan. 27, Rumford police received a report of criminal mischief at a Prospect Avenue business. Coin machines had been tampered with. It is under investigation.

* At 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 23, a Somerset Street resident reported the theft of sunglasses from her jacket while on Franklin Street. It is being investigated.
