LIVERMORE FALLS — Police are investigating a Friday break-in at a Globe Street residence where prescription medications and an undisclosed amount of cash were reported stolen, police said.

The homeowner reported the burglary late Friday night, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday.

The owner had left the residence, off Souther Road, during the afternoon because there was no electrical power. When the owner returned, the door had been forced open, Steward said.

Officer Dan Chabot was assisted at the scene by officer Bob Samson.
