PARIS — Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a Paris Hill Road woman who has been reported missing since being released from Acadia Hospital in Bangor on Jan. 24.
Shirley Mills, 44, was released from the hospital with instructions to return home via a taxicab arranged by the hospital, according to news release from Paris police Chief Michael Madden on Tuesday evening. On Jan. 24, home care providers for Mills reported to the Paris Police Department that she had not returned home, he said.
Madden said Mills did not want to return to Paris but rather wanted to go see a friend in Brunswick, although at this time it is unclear whether Mills left Bangor at all.
Madden said Paris police continue to check on Mills’ home but have seen no sign of her return.
Paris police detectives are asking anyone with information about Mills to please contact them at 207-743-7448.
