LIVERMORE FALLS — A 17-year-old girl is accused of going into Pike’s Corner Oasis on Park Street/Route 133 and hitting an employee six times before leaving the store, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday.
The Livermore Falls girl, who knew the 19-year-old clerk, went behind the counter and grabbed the woman by the throat and pushed her into the wall Wednesday, he said. She struck the clerk six times in the head, he said.
Officer Devon Bohacik was assisted by Jay officer Mike Mejia. Bohacik issued the girl a summons on a charge of misdemeanor assault. She was released to her mother, he said. She is scheduled to appear April 7 in Juvenile Court in Lewiston.
The victim received minor injuries and refused treatment, Steward said.
