SUMNER — The State Fire Marshal’s Office has told WGME that two bodies has been recovered from a home that was destroyed after fire swept through it in the Oxford County town of Sumner late Tuesday night.

A middle-aged brother and a sister reportedly lived in the home. Officials have not released their names.

A team of fire investigators are using an excavator to search the rubble of the house on Barrows Road, which is located  off from Route 219.

The fire was reported about 10:30 p.m. by a neighbor. The fire flattened the two-story house.
