WILTON — A Farmington man was issued a summons on a charge of failure to yield after a three-vehicle accident Thursday morning at the intersection of McCrillis Corner Road and Route 133.
Jeremy Harris, 20, of Farmington was at the stop sign on the east side of Route 156, also known as McCrillis Corner Road, Wilton police Sgt. Chad Abbott said. Harris attempted to cross through the intersection in his 1998 Jeep.
David Sanders, 64, of Mount Vernon, was driving his 2004 BMW south on Route 133 when the two vehicles collided at about 11:30 a.m., Abbott said. The collision caused the Jeep to spin around and hit a 2010 Dodge Charger stopped at the stop sign on the west side of the McCrillis Corner Road. The driver, Linda Grondin, 65, of Wilton, was waiting to cross the intersection, Abbott said.
Grondin and Sanders complained of pain and were checked at the scene by NorthStar emergency personnel. They were not transported to the hospital, Abbott said.
Sanders’ and Harris’ vehicles were demolished. Grondin’s car was damaged but was driven away, Abbott said.
Members of Wilton Fire Department responded to help with Route 133 traffic and to clear the scene.
