Emma’s mother, Amanda, left, is a kindergarten teacher at Longley Elementary School and was delivering valentines to 105 d’Youville residents with Longley first-grade teacher Monica Miller when they made the quick detour. DeFlumere, Miller and Longley third-grade teacher Becca Belleau also delivered cards to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Central Maine Medical Center, the Lewiston Fire and Police departments and the Sun Journal.
