DOVER-FOXCROFT — Police say a snowmobile operator has died in in Dover-Foxcroft.

The police chief told WZON-AM that the crash involving a man happened at about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Piscataquis Valley Fairgrounds in Dover-Foxcroft. The man’s identity was not immediately released.

This was the fourth snowmobile fatality of the season in Maine. It’s unclear what caused the crash.
