Woman’s Hospital Association explores the history of aprons

: “Putting on an apron is like a special connection with the person who made it,” Norma Salway, right, said as she presented on the history of the apron with her sister, Dotti Adams, left, for the Woman’s Hospital Association on Sunday at the Foss Mansion in Auburn. All of the aprons Salway and Adams showcased were sewn by their mother, the late Alice Kimball. The Woman’s Hospital Association has an upcoming bake sale on April 17 in the lobby of Central Maine Medical Center to raise money for mammograms for the underinsured and uninsured.
