The conservative members of the U.S. Supreme Court have decided that very wealthy people can give millions of dollars to any political candidate running for office because they are guaranteed “freedom of speech” by the United States Constitution.

Giving money is speech?

My dictionary says “speech” means, “To utter words with ordinary voice” or “To express or communicate opinions, feelings, as by talking.”

It appears, therefore, that the Supreme Court cannot say that giving millions of dollars to a political candidate is freedom of “speech.”

Maybe the justices should read a dictionary, then study the Constitution again.
