- Niya Johnson, 6, directs Matchbox traffic on the sidewalk of Gamage Avenue in Auburn on Friday morning after watching TJ Pettersen of New England Traffic Control direct traffic around a demolition site all morning. “She’s been watching him for a couple of hours,” said Priscilla Leavitt, Niya’s grandmother. “She would watch his sign and when he put up his sign, she would put up the sign she made. She even brought him water because she said he would be thirsty.”
