Wyman and Simpson Inc. of Richmond has begun building a new Martin Memorial Bridge over the Androscoggin River at Rumford Point. It is 600 feet upriver from the old bridge. According to Maine Department of Transportation Project Manager Steve Bodge, the new bridge will connect Route 232 and Route 2 and provide better sight distance on Route 2.
