BOWDOIN — The Burnt Meadow Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, met at the home of Corley Byras in Bowdoin on March 29 to honor DAR good citizen Nichole Jones of Lisbon High School and good citizen Kayla Gayton of Oak Hill High School.

Also honored by being given a good citizenship award were Dustin Wood of Lisbon High School and Sadie Goulet of Oak Hill High School.

Lunch was served and Doug Hodgkin, professor emeritus and editor of the Androscoggin Historical Society Newsletter, spoke on poor relief in the 19th century.
