New toddler program at SACC, preschool
OXFORD — Beginning on Sept. 1, Oxford SACC & Preschool will open a new toddler program at its facility at 89 Pleasant St. The program will now serve children 18 months to 12 years.
SACC is a nonprofit community corporation with Federal Tax Exempt status registered in the State of Maine. The facility is licensed to serve 73 children. Oxford SACC is open Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

American Legion supper dance
LOCKE MILLS — A supper dance will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at the American Legion Hall.
Music will be by the Jones Band.
Doors open at 4 p.m.
Menu will be baked beans, hot dogs, casseroles, salads, rolls and pies.
Supper and dance, $10; supper only, $7; child, $3.
Gina Bizier pharmacy scholarship
PARIS — OHCHS grads are eligible for the Gina Bizier Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship.
Bob and Barbara Bizier continue to offer scholarships to OHCHS graduates who are now attending pre-pharmacy or pharmacy programs. They feel that the Gina Bizier Memorial Pharmacy Scholarship is a fitting tribute to their beloved daughter.
Gina, a graduate of OHCHS, became a pharmacist and loved her chosen profession. She was passionate about encouraging young adults to consider pursuing a pharmacy career.
The student must be a graduate of OHCHS, be majoring in pre-pharmacy or attending a college of pharmacy and be in good academic standing. This year’s deadline is June 10 and applications are available at the Superintendent’s office.
Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge
OXFORD — Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met May 2. A 7-1/2 table Mitchell movement was enjoyed.
Finishing first flight A n/s were Rosemarie Goodwin (Lewiston) and Luke Merry (Greene); second, Pat and Mike Quinn (Otisfield); third, Dick Allen (New Gloucester) and Les Buzzell (Auburn); fourth, Milt McKeen Jr. (Bridgton) and Jim Krainin (Naples), who also were first in flight B.
Finishing second in flight B n/s were Karen MacNeil (Casco) and Dave Kallander (Poland); third, Kathy Feld (Lovell) and Bob Kirchherr (South Paris); fourth, Mary Cobalt (Waterford) and Barbara Vanderzanden (Waterford).
Finishing first flight A e/w were Della Starbird (Oxford) and Marlee Turner (Waterford), who also were first in flight B; second in Flight A were Neenie Kivus (Lewiston) and David Lock (Greene); tied for third and fourth were Cynthia and Bill Clifford (Lewiston), who also were second in flight B, and Denny Raymond (Waterford) and Hank Sakrison (Poland), who also were third in flight B; finishing fourth in flight B were Cathy Sanderson (Waterford) and Carol Curran (Waterford).

Community potluck supper May 15
WATERFORD — The Wilkins Community House will hold its monthly community potluck supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 15. All are welcome.
The Community House is in Waterford Flat on Plummer Hill Road behind the village green next door to the church. The hosts for this supper are Martha Eaton, Sara Stockwell and Antoinette Tarbell.
This will be the last supper until the fall. Bring a friend and a dish to share.
Indoor yard sale at Grace Fellowship
OXFORD — Grace Fellowship Church, 29 Poplar St., will hold their second annual indoor yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17. Follow the green sign on Route 26 near the speedway. (Mile 6 Road)
The proceeds from this sale will be used to finance Vacation Bible School to be held in August. This year will be even bigger than last year.
Annual Brazilian Steak Night
WEST PARIS — Come enjoy Brazilian cuisine, games, prizes and a story about Brazilian culture at the third annual Brazilian Steak Night on the lawn of West Paris Baptist Church on Saturday, May 17, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Cost for adults is $8, children $4. Proceeds benefit the Neighborly Niche Food Pantry in West Paris. Bring a sweatshirt.
