Rumford Hospital Auxiliary yard sale
RUMFORD — The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary will host its annual yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at 209 Lincoln Ave. Items for sale include furniture, small appliances, jewelry, purses, rugs, kitchen goods, books and office items. All items for sale are very reasonably priced and in good condition.
Proceeds are donated to Rumford Hospital, to help purchase state-of-the-art medical equipment and other patient related items.
Carthage Historical Society meeting
CARTHAGE — The Carthage Historical Society will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, at the museum for a potluck supper with meeting to follow.
After the long winter it will be nice to see old friends. All are welcome.
MVHS students stage “Wonderland”
RUMFORD — The Mountain Valley High School theater arts students will perform “Alice in Wonderland” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, on the grounds of the school.
The rain date is Thursday, May 22. Members of the audience are asked to dress as their favorite “Alice in Wonderland” character such as the white rabbit, the Cheshire cat, the March hare or one of the Hearts.

RUMFORD — The next class lunch for the Class of 1960 from Mexico High School will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, at Gatch’s Restaurant.
Plant sale at Canton park
CANTON— Canton Parks and Trails Committee will hold a plant sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 23, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 24, at Canton Heritage Park, Route 108.
