JAY — Principal Scott Albert has announced that eighth-graders Jordan Daigle and Rylee Delaney have been selected as the Maine Middle Level Schools Scholar-Leader Award winners from Spruce Mountain Middle School.
All decisions concerning selection have certain subjective elements. However, the Maine Association for the Middle Level Education and the New England League of Middle Schools urge schools to follow recommended criteria: excellent attitude towards learning, provide service to classmates and school, is a positive role model for peers, takes responsibility for own behavior and learning along with several additional indicators.
The state winners will receive their awards at the Scholar-Leader Awards Banquet, which will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Augusta Civic Center.
Joshua is the son of Jason and Janet Daigle of Jay.
Rylee is the daughter of Richard and Sarah Delaney of Livermore.
