AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library’s outdoor Summer Concert Series — now in its fifth year — will host concerts ranging from alternative rock to blues to roots/Americana. Some concert series favorites such as Billy Libby and Forget, Forget, are returning to the popular series, which takes place on the library lawn; some talented new acts will also be introduced.
The concerts take place on Thursday evenings in the summer, and are free and open to the public. The concert series kicks off with the return of indie rock band Forget, Forget at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12.
“After only five years, Lithgow’s Summer Concert Series has become firmly established as one of the highlights of the summer cultural offerings in the greater Augusta area,” said concert series coordinator Shelby Monroe. “We are excited to bring back an amazing lineup of performers right here on the lawn at Lithgow.”
All summer concert take place at 6:30 p.m. on the Lithgow lawn.
Thursday, June 12 – Forget, Forget. (Five-member band, including Aaron LaChance of Grand Hotel, plays a mix of pop-rock-indie music).
Thursday, June 26 – Blood Orange Martinis. (Renowned Bangor-area blues band features Lauren Williams, Trent Souder and Phil Pitula).
Thursday, July 10 – The Feather Lungs. (Up-and-coming rock band featuring Augusta native Richard Fortin on drums and Laura England Wood on vocals).
Thursday, July 24 – Sara Hallie Richardson. (Multi-talented Portland-based singer-songwriter returns to Lithgow with her band).
Thursday, August 7 – KGFreeze. (Six-member rock/pop/R&B band featuring Kyle Gervais of Grand Hotel).
Thursday, August 21 – Billy Libby & Sean Morin (New York City-based singer-songwriter Billy Libby returns with talented vocalist-musician Sean Morin).
