The service, led by State Sen. Tom Saviello, R-Wilton, and State Rep. Russell Black, R-Wilton, was followed by a community walk along Main Street to the American Legion.
The Wilton Fire Department Honor Guard led a community walk from the monument in downtown Wilton to the American Legion on Sunday afternoon. The honor guard from the right includes Thom Walker, Randy Barker, Ryan Macomber and Kyle Ellis.
State Rep. Russell Black, R-Wilton, helps World War II veteran Joe Perry lay a wreath at the monument in downtown Wilton on Sunday as part of a Memorial Day observance. Pictured from left is the Rev. The service was followed by a community walk along Main Street to the American Legion Hall. This was the first Memorial Day observance in Wilton since 1992, organizer Saviello said.

Wilton Boy Scouts from Troop 518, Nate Goodine and Jonathan Jacques, lowered the flag during a Memorial Day observance held Sunday at the monument in downtown Wilton. The Old Crow Band played as Wilton residents began a community walk from the monument to the American Legion Hall on Sunday in observance of Memorial Day.
State Rep. Russell Black, R-Wilton, provided a ride Sunday as residents joined together for a community walk from the monument in downtown Wilton to the American Legion Hall. A short service was held at the monument in observance of Memorial Day.
