NEW GLOUCESTER — Three people were taken to the hospital Friday following a head-on crash on Lewiston Road. 

Police say Tina Dennison, 36, of New Gloucester was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier north with her 5-year-old son, Christopher Hinks, when her car collided with a commercial box truck towing a trailer and traveling south. The driver of the truck was William Smith, 60, of Naples.

The crash occurred just before 4 p.m. All three were taken to local hospitals. Police believe their injuries were not life-threatening.
