MOSCOW (AP) — Police say a Maine man is facing charges for allegedly dousing a woman with lighter fluid and trying to set her on fire, then pointing a rifle at her and pulling the trigger, only to have the gun misfire.
Danny Parrish Jr. is charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing for making the alleged threats at his Moscow home on Sunday.
Police told the Morning Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1ktcEml ) that Parrish threatened a woman and children ages 2, 9, and 10 who lived in the home.
Parrish is being held at the Somerset County Jail on $50,000 cash bail. It was unclear when Parrish is scheduled to appear in court, or if he has a lawyer.
