HARTFORD — A hearing on the annual town meeting warrant is set for 6 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at the Town Hall.
The 58 articles include budget requests totaling $2.12 million. This year’s budget was $2 million.
A proposed $2,000 increase in administration is due in part to higher health insurance, mileage, telephone and Internet costs.
The proposed summer roads budget is up approximately $10,000 to cover work on Sam Annis, Mahoney, Howard, Stetson, Gurney Hill, Thompson and Green Acres roads.
Salt and sand costs pushed the proposed winter roads budget up about $10,000.
Selectman John Plumley is being challenged by Cathy Lowe. Elections will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, at the Town Hall.
The annual town meeting is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Town Hall.
