PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce has announced the return of Oxford Hills Night at a Portland Sea Dogs game.

“We used to do this every year with the Sea Dogs and I felt it was time to bring this event back,” said Chamber Executive Director John Williams. “It’s a great way to bring the community together and enjoy a family-friendly night of baseball just down the road in Portland.”

The Oxford Hills Night will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13, against the Akron Rubber Ducks. The chamber is selling reserved seat tickets for a discount, and along with the discount, every ticket purchased will come with a special gift and a chance to take the field to throw out the first pitch.

“We felt it was important to offer the tickets at a discounted rate to make it more affordable for people and throwing in a special gift and a chance to throw out the first pitch just adds to the evening,” said Williams.

Tickets are $6 each and need to be paid for when picked up at the chamber office located on 4 Western Ave., South Paris. Every ticket purchased will come with an inflatable baseball-theme beach ball and a chance to throw out the first pitch.

“People will be able to enter their name or the names of those people attending the game with them into the drawing to throw out the first pitch,” said Williams. “We’re pleased the Sea Dogs will allow one of our guests to throw out the first pitch.”

The drawing will be held the morning of the game and the winner will be notified before the game. Tickets can be purchased with cash, check or debit/credit card and must be picked up at the chamber office.

Because of the special gift and drawing, the office cannot mail out the tickets. Tickets can also be reserved online by visiting www.oxfordhillsmaine.com. Click on the Chamber Sea Dogs headline under upcoming events.
