CASCO — Crews quickly knocked down a fully involved structure fire that drove a couple from their home Monday night.
According to Casco fire Chief Jason Moen, the couple quickly fled their home at 35 North Pond Road and called 911 at around 8:50 p.m.
Upon arrival, Moen said one end of the house was fully involved as about 40 firefighters from Casco, Naples, Raymond, Poland and Otisfield quickly doused the flames.
By about 10 p.m., Moen said, the fire was under control and by 11:30 p.m. overhaul was complete and crews were clearing the scene.
Moen said there is significant damage to the second and third floors of the home. The fire remains under investigation.
