Emily Roderick, chairman of the Readfield Republican Committee, has withdrawn as a candidate in House District 81. She had won the nomination in an uncontested primary on June 10.

Republicans living in the newly-apportioned House District 81, which consists of Readfield, Winthrop and part of Monmouth, will hold a special caucus to select a replacement at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, at the Winthrop Town Office.

All enrolled Republicans in District 81 are eligible to participate and vote in the special caucus.
