MEXICO — A local woman was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with slamming a woman’s hand in a door multiple times, police Chief Roy Hodsdon said.

Jessica Harvey, 26, was charged with domestic assault.

Hodsdon said officers responded to a residence on Holman Avenue for a report of a woman with a possible broken wrist from an assault.

“Upon responding to the residence, they arrested Harvey,” Hodsdon said. “Reports showed that the victim had suffered injuries to her hand. It’s possible that she had a broken or fractured wrist.”

Hodsdon said the woman’s hand was slammed in a door multiple times.

He said that before Harvey was taken to the Police Department she was seen at Rumford Hospital for an undisclosed medical issue.
