I don’t know who recommended building the bridge at Rumford Point, but it is right in my 82-year-old brother’s back yard. Whoever it was should go sit in my brother’s kitchen when the bridge crews are doing the pounding so they could feel the house shaking.

Why didn’t the officials buy his house? When the bridge is finished, traffic will be much too close. His house was already hit once in the past by a logging truck.

Shame on road officials who have put his home and life in jeopardy.
