WILTON — The Rev. Dr. Ebenezer Shaji Bandaru, executive director of Metropolitan Missions in Gunadala, Vijayawada, India, will present the work of the mission Sunday, July 6, at East Wilton Union Church’s Sunday school hour starting at 9 a.m. and the morning service at 11:45.

The five-fold ministry of the mission is evangelism, discipleship, development, education and nurture. They have several “wings” to their ministry including an orphanage and a children’s home which ministers to 200 children. This is headed by his wife, Mary. His two sons and their wives work with the ministry. They also have a rest home, prayer cells and well-drilling projects.

Since the mission began its ministry in 1959 it has established 150 churches with a vision to have 50 more by 2020.

The public is invited to these programs at the church, 1306 Main St. All are also welcome to attend the Wednesday 10 a.m. Ladies Prayer Group held at the home of Lovina Bryant, or the 6 p.m. Prayer Meeting at the church.
